Hatfield Hello Benches

Hatfield Town Council is starting to introduce a new way to connect while out and about, one bench at a time.

The Hatfield Hello benches, inspired by the well-known Buddy Benches often seen in schools, are being installed in Town Council parks and open spaces across the parish.

Current locations:*
Acacia Street (location ID: 27)
The Grange (location ID: 10)
Lemsford (location ID: 37)
Newgate Street (location ID: 24)
Roe Hill (location ID: 30)
St Albans Road East (location ID: 32)

These easy to spot, brightly decorated benches offer a simple but powerful idea: if you’re sitting there, you’re open to a chat. Whether you’re feeling isolated, looking to make a new friend, or just up for a conversation, the Hatfield Hello benches provide people with a gentle invitation to connect with others in their community.

Keep an eye out for more benches appearing around Hatfield soon — and don’t be shy, say hello!
