Hatfield Poppy Appeal Launch

Hatfield Galleria host the annual Hatfield Poppy Appeal launch with special guest appearance from Jive Swing playing and performing music and dance from the 40’s. The Poppy Appeal Launch will be on Sat 26th at the Galleria from 1pm to 3pm.

Remembrance Sunday

A proud occasion when Hatfield turn out to remember those that have given the ultimate sacrifice. The procession is attended by veterans and local representative groups with commemoratives wreaths laid and words spoken.

Armistice Day

There will be an Act of Remembrance at the War Grave Cemetery off the Great North Road commencing at 10.45am on Monday11th November 2019.

 

Parking has been arranged at Hatfield House visitors carpark (St George’s Gate, AL9 5HX). Please follow the poppies to the entrance to the War Graves, we will put up a parking sign to show the way.  Alternatively you can park on the Great North Road, cones and staff in Hi-Viz jackets will mark the area, please be aware that cars and lorries drive very fast along this stretch of the Great North Rd.

Santa will be out and about in Hatfield 2nd – 21st December.  If you are over the age of 18 and want to help raise money for the Mayor’s Charities please contact Donna.Vier@hatfield-herts.gov.uk

Please note that this will involve a lot of walking.

Hatfield Rail Crash Memorial

The Town Council remember those who were affected by the rail crash in October 2000 by holding a memorial service at 12 noon in the Gardens of Remembrance every year.
