Play Area and Open Space Strategy

Hatfield Town Council: Play Area and Open Space Strategy

Our Play Area and Open Space Strategy [updated July 2026] outlines our approach to enhancing our public spaces, focusing on accessibility, community engagement, and sustainability (both environmental and financial). It emphasises the importance of maintaining and improving our parks and developing new ideas to meet the current and future needs of the residents of Hatfield.

The strategy also highlights the role that green spaces play in promoting health and wellbeing, encouraging biodiversity, and fostering a sense of community. Key initiatives include improving the quality of facilities, increasing green space connectivity, and ensuring that our spaces are inclusive and welcoming for all age groups and abilities.
