A group of our new Hatfield Town councillors joined council staff on a whistlestop tour of sites within the Hatfield parish on Wednesday 31st May, to discover more about the open spaces, community halls and recreation areas that fall under Hatfield Town Council control.
During the trip, councillors were guided through the details of each site, given an outline on their functionality and purpose, and informed of great work that our estates team do to make the sites more attractive and accessible to residents and visitors alike.
The councillors were keen to learn more about plans for Hatfield Town Council properties in the future and were brought up to speed on a range of projects and ideas, such as the ongoing work at Coronation Gardens and plans to make Roe Hill’s recreation area more wheelchair accessible.
Looking ahead, our new council group are very excited to get involved with our upcoming projects and sharing their ideas for how to make Hatfield even better going forward.
