Hatfield Remembrance Sunday Service 2023

Nov 6, 2023 | Recent News | 0 comments

In Hatfield, a service will be held at the Memorial Garden next to the Hatfield House gates (opposite Hatfield train station). Arranged by Hatfield Town Council, Hatfield Town Mayor, Councillor Gareth Aicken will be attending, along with the Leader of Welwyn Hatfield, Councillor Paul Zukowskyj and Deputy Mayor of Welwyn Hatfield, Councillor Frank Marsh.

Following safety concerns Hatfield Town Council have moved the parade off road. Instead of marching down the Great North Road, the parade will now commence at the front of Hatfield House and make its way to the Memorial Gardens through the Park. Those wishing to watch the parade can do so (no need to buy a ticket). Just make their way to either the Stable Yard Gate or Station Gate entrances to Hatfield Park, where you will be directed. The parade will commence at 10.30am and everyone is asked to be in place by that time.

Road closures will still be in affect along the Great North Road from 10am until midday, but the section being closed has been shortened to being between Old Hertford Road and Arm and Sword Lane.
