Hatfield Town Council is pleased to welcome Councillor Simon Freeman, who was co-opted onto the Council in February. Simon fills the Newgate Street Village vacancy following the passing of Councillor James Bond.
With no political affiliations, Simon will serve as an independent councillor, bringing his own perspective and experience to the role. While this is his first time as a councillor, Simon is no stranger to serving the community. He is currently a governor at both Countess Anne and Onslow St. Audreys schools, demonstrating his commitment to local education and governance.
This follows previous news that Councillor Helena Goldwater was elected in the by-election held on Thursday 30 January. Councillor Goldwater will be representing Briars Ward.
We look forward to working with Councillors Freeman and Goldwater as we continue to serve the residents of Hatfield.
