Ellenbrook Quarry Opposition

Oct 26, 2023 | Recent News | 0 comments

Resident groups from Hatfield and St Albans have joined together to once again oppose Brett Aggregates quarry application at Ellenbrook. At a town hall meeting on Wednesday 25 October, the Ellenbrook Area Residents Association (EARA) and Smallford Residents Association (SRA) discussed the numerous issues with this quarry proposal, which is being considered by Hertfordshire County Council’s Development Control Committee on Tuesday 31 October 2023. Details of which can be found here.

The proposed quarry, which will again seek to turn what should be a country park into a large quarry close to residential areas, is envisaged to be in place for around 40 years.

Thank you to all those who attended the town hall meeting on Wednesday 25 October 2023 to discuss the Ellenbrook quarry application. The meeting was led by the Ellenbrook Area Residents Association (EARA) and Smallford Residents Association (SRA).  On their behalf, Hatfield Town Council is happy to provide the following information:
