The minutes of the meeting held on 8th October 2020 were agreed as an accurate record and will be signed by the Chairman at a later date.

43.            CHANGES TO THE CURRENT PLANNING SYSTEM

Members noted the response submitted by NALC to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.

Generally Members were in accord with NALCís response and wished to emphasise the disempowerment of Neighbourhood Plans, lack of intervention at a local level, lack of local opinion or influence and a decrease in the democratic voice locally.

RESOLVED that this Councilís response detailed in the preamble to this minute be conveyed to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.

Members decided to consider this at the next meeting of the Committee.

MAJOR OBJECTION

Members do not think that the new application has overcome the reasons for refusal of application 6/2020/1808/HOUSE.

The proposed first floor side extension still creates a cramped development, by reason of its size and siting. The proposed single storey rear extension is still not of the type of design Members usually see for this area such that it would detract from the character and appearance of the dwelling, and surrounding area.
